Dislocation
Climate change
Crisis = Opportunity
Irregularly cut scraps made me think of heat and desertification causing water shortages and a dislocation of populations around the world. It reminded me also of the hollowed-out rural villages I had seen first in France, then in Canada, whose remaining residents now needed cars to access the malls and supermarkets built at the crossroads of the new super-highways that by-passed the villages, not only adding to air pollution but to increasing urbanization and social isolation, lives quietly fraying at the edges. I mourn, yet hope for activist youth’s solutions.
